Fresh StART

Thanks to your support, Fresh StART was able to donate 116 Art Paks to Artfeeds.org.  This past year, I took my first art history class, something I might never had done if I hadn’t been spending the year recovering from shoulder surgery due to a sports injury. During the art history class I realized the transformational impact art had on the way I felt. It lifted my spirits and inspired me to shift my philanthropic efforts to the beautiful world of art.

 

So, during my rehab in Florida, I created Fresh StART in partnership with Artfeeds.org (www.artfeeds.org ) with the objective of offering less privileged kids a Fresh Start with ART. Art Feeds is a place where children stay curious, creative, and kind. They understand that kids have big feelings that aren’t always easy to express and help them navigate those big feelings through art lessons that can be done at school, at home, or in the community.

Having a pack of crayons and a sketchbook may not seem like a big deal to many people but for underprivileged kids, art supplies can be the key to letting their imaginations defy boundaries. The goal was to donate 100

Art packs which include a sketchbook, crayons, markers, a glue stick, pencils, and a pencil sharpener. Due to your support, 116 Art packs were provided to hopefully inspire 116 kids. Who knows, maybe there is a Picasso waiting to be found.
